Autonomic
Nervous System
This part of the nervous system controls the functions of your body
without you thinking about them; Heart rate, temperature, hormone release,
respiration and more. There are two parts to this system; sympathetic
and parasympathetic. The sympathetic is the "fight or flight"
mechanism responsible for preparing your body for stress. Parasympathetic
is the relaxer mode and slows things down. Both systems are important
for proper body function, however too much of one or the other produces
problems within the body. Bio Cranial System helps the body to balance
these two important parts of the nervous system.
Cranial
Osteopathy
One of the greatest pieces of physiological research in the twentieth
century was undertaken by William Garner Sutherland D.O. He was one
of the early graduates of the original American School of Osteopathy
at Kirksville, Missouri in 1900. As a student he noticed that the structure
of certain cranial bones, particularly where they joined each other,
were bevelled in a striking manner.
